1. How to take care of my bag?

To nourish the leather of your bag, we recommend using a colorless natural nourishing milk. Once applied, let the leather rest for a few moments then polish it with a soft, clean cloth.We advise you to fill your bag with tissue paper so that it keeps its shape and then put it in its cotton bag in a dry place, sheltered from the sun when you are not using it.Regarding the nylon fabric, we advise you to clean it with a clean sponge, water and possibly use a specific soap.


2. What is full grain leather?

Full grain leather is the top layer of the skin. It has kept its original surface and thickness. This is the most noble material and the softest to the touch. It is this leather that we use.The lower part of the skin is called Leather Crust. It is often covered with a layer of plastic imitating leather. It is found on low-end leather goods and not on Ateliers Auguste items.


3. What is mineral tanning?

After being cleaned, the skins are tanned to make the leather rot-proof. The skins run with water and tanning agents in large barrels called fullers.We chose mineral tanning made from chromium salts to make it supple, elastic and resistant to water and light.We collaborate with the Dani tannery, based in northern Italy. This tannery goes even further than the current standards in Europe. For 10 years, it has chosen to be a model of sustainable development. The average solvent consumption is 65% below the legal limit for example. The water treated at the tanning outlet is 99% pure.


4. Which canvas is used for the bags?

We use a very strong nylon fabric from Italy. It is treated to be water repellent. We chose nylon for the outside of our bags because this material is much more durable than cotton. It is also much more resistant to rubbing, sunlight and rain; allowing your bag to accompany you as long as possible.


5. Are the Ateliers Auguste products guaranteed for life?

Ateliers Auguste bags and accessories are guaranteed for a year period from the date of purchase subject to normal use and compliance with the precautions for use recommended by Ateliers Auguste.If necessary, we can provide repairs for your product. 6. Where are the Ateliers Auguste products made?

Our products are exclusively made in family workshops recognized for several generations for their skills. The Italian workshop manufacturing women models is located about thirty kilometers from Venice. The canvas and nylon models as well as the small leather goods are manufactured in two workshops located in Porto, Portugal.

7. Is it possible to return an item?

Items may be returned within 14 days after purchase made online to exercise your right of withdrawal, without penalty and without specifying the reason, in the conditions provided Article L. 121-20 et seq. of the Consumer Code.Contact the Customer Service by phone +33 (0) 1 48 05 91 36 or by email: contact@ateliers-auguste.fr. After validation by the Customer Service, you will receive an e-mail confirmation of the support of your return. You will then have to send us the article. The expense of the return will remain at your charge.The right of return will be acquired under the conditions where the article will be returned new and in its original packaging. The label will still be attached to the product. The product has not been worn, worn, modified or damaged and in perfect condition to be put on sale again.


8. Is my payment secured?

Yes, the payment is 100% secured. Transactions made on our site are secured by the payment system of our partner La Caisse d'Epargne.All information exchanged to process the payment is encrypted using the SSL protocol. This bank data can not be detected, intercepted or used by third parties. Nor are they stored on our computer systems.When you are asked to enter your credit card number, you can check from your browser that you are in a secured area. These zones are identifiable thanks to the address which starts with "https" as well as a closed padlock or a key at the bottom of your browser.

9. How long before receiving my order?

If you place an order in France, you will receive your order within 5 to 8 days. We use the Colissimo service of LA POSTE group, with delivery against a signature at home. It will take ten days if you live abroad. In France, you can receive your order in less than 3 days by choosing the Express option (paying option).In Paris intramuros, any order placed before 2pm (except on the weekends), will be delivered by courier for free during the day – courier option when choosing your carrier.


10. Do you ship outside France?

Yes, we ship to almost any country in the world. If you live in a country that is not on the list, please contact us.


11. What are the shipping fees ?

Delivery is free in France and Europe. For the rest of the world, the delivery varies between 10 and 30 € depending on the weight of the product ordered and the destination. You will find the detail of the expenses of delivery on this page.
